TSE graduate student Kurt Benjamin Martelino Abalos had the opportunity to join the 2024 Internship at the Institute for Security and Development Policy(ISDP). Let's see what they are doing!
Words from Kurt Benjamin Martelino Abalos:
"Considering that taking a master's can reset one's professional career, I made it a priority to find opportunities to prepare myself before my graduation. Sometimes, we underestimate how fast two years can fly by, especially when you are fully focused and engaged with the program's learnings and requirements. Fortunately, I landed the opportunity to work at one of the world's renowned think tanks.
The Institute of Security and Development Policy is among Sweden's top institutions in its field. It is renowned for its staff, pieces, and events that create a platform for scholars and perspectives to engage with one another. Their work provides stakeholders with valuable, holistic, and well-informed insights in our ever-dynamic world. Hence, when I got the wonderful news that I was accepted for their internship program, I knew it was that once in a lifetime chance. Despite having thesis commitments and limited finances to travel, live, and work in Sweden, I chose to take the chance ,thanks to support from my family.
