Congratulations to Professor Daron Acemoglu on being awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
Hosted by the Taipei School of Economics and Political Science Foundation (TSEF), TSE, and the College of Social Sciences, National Taiwan University, the first TSEF Forum for Fall 2022 will be held on October 13 at 8:00 pm, Liang Kuo Shu International Conference Hall (3rd floor, College of Social Sciences, National Taiwan University). Professor Daron Acemoglu, the world renowned MIT economist and co-author of Why Nations Fail, will deliver a speech on "In the Name of Progress: Our Thousand-year Struggle over Technology and Prosperity." This seminar will be chaired by Professor Ping Wang (Seigle Family Distinguished Professor of Washington University in St. Louis, and the Chief Academic Advisor of TSE).
