Health Care Policy and Practice: Taiwan in Comparative Perspective
TSETSE608400 | 2 credits | Co-teach with Prof. Yiing-Jenq Chou
Course Description
This course introduces the fundamentals of health care policy and practice, using Taiwan as the main case in comparative perspective. It examines how health systems are structured and governed, how policy tools shape system design, and how health systems are evaluated and reformed. The course then analyzes how policy choices shape system outcomes, including access, quality, equity, and efficiency. Drawing on international comparisons and Taiwan’s experience, students will develop the ability to critically assess health systems and consider policy options for reform.
