Visa and Work Permit

Employment Gold Card
The "Employment Gold Card" (https://goldcard.nat.gov.tw/en/about/) is a 4-in-1 care that includes a resident visa, work permit, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit, which allows you to leave and re-enter Taiwan multiple times over the course of 1-3 years. With this card, you don't have to apply for a visa, work permit, or ARC separately from each department. This card also provides tax incentives (see https://goldcard.nat.gov.tw/en/tags/tax/). Applicants can apply online without sponsorship. The application takes around 30-60 days. Application Qualification (in the Field of Education)
You may be eligible to apply if you: 1) Hold a PhD from one of the top 500 universities in the world; 2) Have taught or researched at one of the top 500 universities in the world for at least 3 years; 3) Have received a grant or award from the Yushan Fellow Program; or 4) Have taught at a public or private school, college, or university for at least 5 years.
