TSE's pedagogy is based on an integrative vision of enabling students to see the forest and not simply the trees. Our students will be trained to apply interdisciplinary knowledge to do holistic analysis and avoid the pitfalls of partial analysis or unidimensional thinking.
The program combines theoretical perspectives and analytical skills of comparative political economy with international relations, development economics, international economics, institutional analysis, policy analysis (especially economic policy) and regional training in Asian studies.
TSE’s degree programs welcome applicants from all over the world, especially students who plan to pursue a career in public and international affairs or be better prepared for near-future Ph.D. training and an academic career later on
